Concept & Inspiration
Welcome to The Munstead! Located on the High Line, we create the bridge between the hustle of New York City and the relaxing escape found within the High Line. There is a calm, neutral environment on the first floor, which is great for working and collaborating. The “roots and stem” of the building are represented with earth tones along with straight lines and geometries. Guests are urged to explore upstairs to be met with a vibrant and exciting second floor, home to the café during the day and a lively bar at night with an energizing lounge. The second floor represents the flower itself with vibrant warm-toned colors and more organic shapes to heighten the energy!
When entering the hotel room, guests are transferred into a space above the flower, up into the clouds. Rooms are equipped with a cozy lounge with an entertainment center, which houses a personal coffee machine, television, and storage. Tucked behind the lounge space is a plush king-sized bed with the finest cotton sheets/ bedding. With the use of natural woods and a range of blues, this room is meant to be a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Guests are meant to feel relaxed and find their room as a getaway.
